For some voters, the Santa Barbara County General Election has begun

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - For Santa Barbara County residents living outside of the country, the General Election is underway.
Registrar of Voters Joe Holland tells County Supervisors about 2000 ballots have gone out to those who are registered here but are out of the country.
For example, overseas ballots have been sent to those in the military stationed abroad. Because of mail timelines, they are getting their ballots now..
Local ballots will arrive next week and be sent out.
The state voter pamphlets are already starting to arrive in mail boxes countywide.
About 30 vote by mail boxes have been installed around the county to assist with voting starting October 5, locally.
It is Voter Registration Day, and those interested in registering or to check their registration information, can contact : The Santa Barbara County Elections Office.
