Lompoc’s sales tax measure receives majority vote

LOMPOC, Calif. - Votes in favor of Measure I2020 on Lompoc ballots will bring an increase in sales tax rates throughout the city.

The aim of the tax increase is to help Lompoc repair its budget woes.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting on Wednesday, Measure I received a majority with 68% votes for it and 32% against.
