LOMPOC, Calif. - The annual Empty Bowls event benefitting the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County returned to Lompoc today at the Dick DeWees Community Center on West Ocean Avenue.

Dozens of Foodbank staff and volunteers were on hand to serve up homemade soups with handmade, handcrafted or hand-painted ceramic bowls that were on sale as part of the fundraising event.

There were two servings at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to accommodate the large turnout.

Future Empty Bowls events benefitting the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County are planned for later this year in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara.
