Driver injured after being hit by Amtrak train in Camarillo Friday afternoon

CAMARILLO, Calif. – One driver suffered moderate injuries after being hit by a train at the intersection of Fifth Street and Las Posas near Camarillo just past 4:00 p.m. Friday, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.

The train had 480 passengers aboard and the patient was taken to the hospital for their injuries after the crash caused severe damage to their car, detailed the VCFD.
