Three Lompoc races look clearer Wednesday

LOMPOC, Calif. — Three races were on Lompoc ballots in the 2020 General Election. In the mayoral race, incumbent Jenelle Osborne is taking on challenger Victor Vega. Jim Mosby and Jeremy Ball are vying for the Lompoc City Council District 4 seat. While Gilda Cordova ran unopposed for Lompoc City Council District 1 seat.

As of noon on Wednesday the Santa Barbara County Elections Office stats, 100% of precincts are reporting. However, KEYT has not confirmed there are not still mail-in ballots remaining to be counted.

For Lompoc City Council District 1 Cordova is reported to have received 95% of the vote. While District 4 is a much closer race, with Ball leading Mosby 59% to 40%. Ball has a 480 vote lead.

For Lompoc Mayor, Osborne is leading to re-election. She leaders 55% to 44% or by 1,246 votes.
