SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Two important deadlines are fast approaching. On June 15, California Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to allow California to reopen to 100% capacity. On July 4, President Joe Biden is hoping to have 70% of American adults with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Santa Barbara County Public Health, Cottage Health, Dignity Health, Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics and other pharmacies are working to help people reach those deadlines.

Anyone who gets a one-dose Johnson & Johnson Janssen vaccine this week will be fully vaccinated for Governor Newsom’s California reopening. And anyone who gets their first dose of the two-dose Moderna or Pfizer vaccine will be ready for the Fourth of July weekend.

Cottage Health has two vaccine drive-thru vaccine clinics at their Goleta Valley Medical Center. The clinics are Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. No appointment is needed. Cottage Health is using the Pfizer vaccine. Those eligible are 12 and older.

To schedule an appointment visit MyTurn or call 2-1-1.
