Los Baños pool in Santa Barbara reopens to lap swimming

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Los Baños Del Mar pool in Santa Barbara is reopening for swimmers to swim laps.

The pool will reopen next Tuesday with modifications as part of Santa Barbara County's new guidance for essential businesses and recreation facilities.

Anyone interested in swimming needs to book a time in advance.

Lane capacity will be limited and fewer people will be allowed into the pool at a time with physical distancing protocols in place. Specific guidelines will be posted at the facility and staff will being enforcing them.

You should also bring all the necessary equipment if you are interested in swimming, including masks and personal safety equipment. Staff will also be disinfecting high-traffic areas between swim times.

The Carpinteria Community Pool reopened to lane swimming earlier this week.
