On July 13, Mike and Betty Noling gave their donation to support the United Learning Center (ULC), a tutoring program for local students from kindergarten to sixth grade.

“This donation will continue to pay dividends in the lives of students for years to come”

Steve Ortiz, President and CEO of United Way of Santa Barbara County

Half of the donation will support the ULC program through the United Way's Children's Services Endowment Fund. The other half will fund the current program through 2025, serving up to 75 students per year at three different locations.

Through this program, trained tutors will assess each student and provide a customized learning plan.
