Solstice parade art and float decorations available now at an annual yard sale

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Many of the floats, art and masks on display during the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice parade last month has been gathered up and it's now up for sale.

The yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Solstice workshop on 631 Garden St. on the corner of Ortega St.

The funds raised will go to the Solstice budget for next year.

This year's parade came with the theme "Roots."

The entries had trees, butterflies, bugs, a giant Root Beer float and cleverly designed masks.

This sale is a way to reuse materials from the parade and reduce waste.
