Santa Barbara Airport reopens terminal and resumes all commercial flights Monday
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Santa Barbara Airport has reopened its terminal and will continue all commercial flights effective 1 p.m. Monday after flooding on the runway closed the airport on Sunday.
According to the Santa Barbara Airport's website, as of 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, the airport is now open and will resume all commercial operations as of 1 p.m.
"We are monitoring the situation and will reopen as soon as it is safe. We don't have an ETA at this time as the water continues to rise in and around the airport," said Santa Barbara Airport Director Christopher Hastert on Sunday. "Passengers should check with their airlines for options related to canceled flights."
Director Hastert directed people to the airport's website and social media for updates as they come in.
