Tracking peak heating Wednesday

KEYT

Peak heating occurs Wednesday for all microclimates. Santa Barbara will wake up to clear skies and fast heating while other areas will hold onto the clouds for the first half of the morning. Highs rise into the 80s at the beaches and triple digits for the interior. Stay hydrated!

We hold with one more day of heat Thursday. High pressure begins its breakdown but many areas only fall a degree or so. Heat Advisories hold through 8pm. Heightened fire risk and breezy winds will be one thing to watch. Head out to the pool or beaches.

We begin a small cooling trend Friday into the weekend. Onshore flow will bring more marine clouds and a 3-5 degree temperature drop. The weekend will be very pleasant! Stagnant weather pattern ahead.
