Tracking a toasty Friday, heat holds this weekend

We begin Friday morning with clouds and fog before a rapid clearing trend occurs. The heat kicks off today and produces highs into the 80s, 90s and triple digits. Heat Alerts go into effect and most of the area will be under a Heat Advisory or Extreme Heat Warning. All marine hazards remain in place. Expect another round of overnight clouds.

Some clouds will from Saturday morning but clear fast. This is a peak heating day for most. Expect 80s in Santa Barbara and many beach areas. Stay hydrated and practice fire safety. All alerts remain in place.

Sunday is our last day of heat! Most watches, warnings and advisories will expire. Even marine waters calm down this day as well. Monday and Tuesday of next week will be a slight cooling trend and many areas fall to average.
