Tracking slight cooling Friday and a muggy weekend

KEYT

Marine clouds fill the skies Friday morning. A slow clearing trend will take place giving way to mostly sunny skies. Highs rise above average and will remain in the 70s and low 80s by the beaches with a small cooling trend inland. Winds will be blustery this afternoon but not close to advisory levels. '

Overcast monsoonal clouds fill the skies Saturday and Sunday. Both of these days will be extra humid and muggy. A slight chance for showers and thunderstorms appear after lunch but most moisture looks to hold in high terrain and off the coastline. We cant rule out a small cell reaching beaches or inland. All rain amounts will be light and minimally impactful. Highs rise into the 70s while inland areas cool drastically. This will be some needed relief.

Our next round of wet weather arrives Sunday night into Monday. Many showers will be isolated and fast moving. We begin to dry by Monday afternoon and a big weather pattern shift is ahead next week. The National Weather Service has issued an extreme Heat Watch for the entire coverage zone Tuesday through Thursday. More information to come.
