Extreme Heat Warning Tuesday, SoCal Heat Wave

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Extreme heat warnings kick in locally Tuesday with various heat alerts across the region through Friday.

80, 90 and over 100 degree temps are expected up and down the coast.

High pressure moving west and offshore winds is causing this strong heat spell.

Especially the warm inland and northerly winds which will be driving up temps on the south coast.

Slight cooling arrives over the weekend, with temperatures getting closer to normal by next Monday.
