Morning showers Tuesday, drying into April

Storm clouds roll in Tuesday morning along with light rain as a cold front approaches the area. Small showers begin in northern communities and move southward quickly. Light to moderate rain will impact your morning commute and roadways may be slick. We switch from persistent showers to on again off again precipitation after lunch. Rain totals will be dismal, when all is said and done, most areas measure into the tenth of an inch or less. Winds may be breezy at times but no watches, warnings or advisories in effect. Air on the side of caution when boating as thunderstorms may appear over our waters. Highs rise into the 50s and low 60s, grab those jackets!

Small rain chances appear into Wednesday as our next cold front moves into the area. Most activity will hold in the mountains but we cannot rule out a pop up stray shower along the beaches. Skies turn mostly cloudy to partly sunny by the evening and high temperatures hold into the 60s and low 70s. Winds die down and marine waters stay calm.

We dry Thursday but remain cooler than average with an abundance of clouds. The sun finally appears into the weekend as we begin a warming trend. Most areas are back up to normal if not above average by Saturday. Mostly sunny skies appear into the weekend.
