Mild Thursday, morning clouds & warm afternoon

KEYT

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Mild temperatures in the 70s continue Thursday for most communities near the coast though heat will linger for the interior.

A near 1400ft marine layer is forecasted to return to beach areas and will linger into the afternoon.

Inland heat alerts have been extended to 8pm Sunday.

Brief warming is expected by Friday bringing temperatures above average by a few degrees.

Boosted humidity is possible for Southern California over the weekend due to a monsoonal push out of the southeast by Sunday.

Heat will break down early next week as temperatures will return back to near normal by midweek.
