SLO Sheriffs resume search for missing five year old

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's office has confirmed the search for missing 5 year old Kyle Doan resumed on Jan. 15 as weather conditions improved and water levels lowered.

"Ongoing monitoring indicated a drop in water levels allowing crews to search new areas," stated a SLO County Sheriff's tweet on Jan 15.

The search areas includes San Marcos Creek and the Salinas River.

The ongoing search for the missing boy has been limited by ongoing rain storms and on Jan. 13, outside agencies assisting in the search, including the California National Guard, concluded their assistance.

SLO Sheriffs ask that the public not conduct personal searches as that can impede professional search efforts.
