GROVER BEACH, Calif. - A new cannabis dispensary is opening in Grover Beach.

Urbn Leaf's newly constructed recreational and medical marijuana dispensary began its Grand Opening Weekend Celebration on Friday.

The Celebration will last from Dec. 6 through Dec. 8.

Free food, music and vendor demonstrations will be offered at Urbn Leaf on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Friday and Sunday celebrations will take place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Urbn Leaf was founded in San Diego in March 2017 by founder William Senn.

Prior to opening Urbn Leaf, Senn was instrumental in creating several cannabis trade associations such as the United Medical Marijuana Association, the Patient Care Association (one of the first medical marijuana industry associations in the country), the Alliance for Responsible Medicinal Access and The Global Alliance for Cannabis Commerce.

Urbn Leaf said they teamed up with local cancer survivor and cannabis advocate, Sunni Mullinax, in order to open the Grover Beach location.

“Our neighbors in Grover Beach have been so welcoming, we’re really excited to bring the Urbn Leaf brand to the five cities area, normalize cannabis in the community, and help bring more tax revenue into the city,” said Urbn Leaf CEO Skip Motsenbocker

Urbn Leaf said the first 100 customers to make a purchase during the Grand Opening Celebration will receive a free gift bag.

A valid I.D. is required to participate in the celebration. Medically recommended clients must be 18 years or older and recreational customers must be 21 years or older.

The new dispensary is located at 239 South Third Street in Grover Beach.
