Ventura police arrest man for DUI in a stolen vehicle

VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura police arrested a man for driving a stolen vehicle while under the influence of alcohol Saturday evening.

Around 4:50 p.m., officers said they received a 911 call regarding a vehicle driving recklessly near the 3300 block of East Main Street.

Police responded to the area and located the suspicious vehicle on the 4200 Block of Market Street.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and determined it was stolen out of the City of Oxnard.

The 29-year-old driver was contacted at the scene without incident. Investigators found he was under the influence of alcohol at the time.

The driver was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and an outstanding felony warrant.
