Estimated 500 people attend 5th annual Holiday Show at Ice in Paradise

GOLETA, Calif. - From Austin Powers to tiny elves, ice skaters of all ages stunned the packed crowd in a holiday show at Ice in Paradise on Saturday.
“It's special because we have local and guest talent coming in to skate for the community. We get to showcase all the skills these kids are learning,” said Jill Jamar of Ice in Paradise.
Annie Cappelli explains what Ice in Paradise has meant to her and her family over the years.
“It offers a very solid foundation for children and families in the area,” said Cappelli.
All proceeds from this weekend's ice skating show will go toward year-round ice skating programs for kids and adults in the community.
Organizers estimate about 500 people came to this weekend's ice show.
“It is a thriving business. We also have public skating every single day,” Jamar said.
Managers with Ice in Paradise hope this holiday show will make the nonprofit successful for years to come.
