Cal Poly summer quarter to be all online
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Cal Poly's summer quarter will be held entirely online according to University President Jeffrey D. Armstrong.
The decision was made due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Armstrong made the announcement in a campus video message posted to the university's Vimeo page.
"The summer quarter will be all virtual with many more classes being offered than usual," Armstrong said.
Armstrong said those classes will be offered at a lower price with "significant financial aid" for those who need it.
Additional funding for these discounted classes are courtesy of donor Joe Cotchett and a second anonymous donor. Together, they have donated a combined $350,000.
Armstrong said students and community members can get more information about COVID-19 and get access to available resources on the university's website.
