Crimson Holiday hosts cookie fundraiser for the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Artists of Crimson Holiday are creating a sweet holiday season in Santa Barbara.

Nearly a dozen artists from the seasonal store are putting their artistry into sugar cookies.

And it's all for a good cause.

"We have a lot of cookies decorated and we have a lot of decorators here," said owner and artists Marilyn Dannehower of Crimson Holiday.

The cookies will then be sold as part of the store’s fundraiser at the La Cumbre Art Walk on Friday. 

"And at our store people can’t come in and buy our home made decorated cookies," said Dannehower.

Proceeds from the sale of the cookes will be donated to the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.

"Really means a lot ... glad to be doing this II think picking the foodbank is perfect for this time of year," said artist Louise Scuitto of Crimson Holiday.

"It’s nice to give back and i’m happy to use our creative energy to do something nice," said artist Danae Liechti of Crimson Holiday.

In addition, the artists will donate 10 percent of all their sales during the event to the foodbank.

The community is invited to the fundraising event during the La Cumbre Plaza Art Walk.

The Arts Fund and the LCCCA Galleries are hosting the La Cumbre Plaza Art Walk
on Friday, November 17th On Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
