A dreary & drizzly Wednesday morning

The marine layer deepened significantly Tuesday night and very dense clouds along with areas of fog will impact the Central Coast Wednesday morning. These clouds will be so dense that light rain and drizzle can be expected in most areas throughout the early morning hours. Clouds will likely not clear near the coasts and temperatures will cool significantly. Highs for the day will be in the middle to upper 60s near the beaches and 70s inland, below average for this time.

Another soggy morning can be expected Thursday with more dense clouds and fog. Skies will stay gray and gloomy throughout the evening and temperatures will look similar to Wednesday. We could see slightly better clearing by the afternoon, but the clearing will be very slow and we may only see a few hours of sunshine before the sun sets and more clouds creep back in.

Cooler than average temperatures persist Friday and through the weekend. Skies will clear faster and sunshine will be back by each evening. Temperatures begin to warm a few degrees Monday and Tuesday with the possibility for weak to moderate Santa Ana winds to impact Ventura County.
