Remnants of Tropical Storm Eugene brings mugginess and rain chances

The cooling trend continues into Wednesday, with cool to mild conditions lingering into the end of the week. Temperatures remain below seasonal average for the time being. Highs along the coast will be in the 60s and 70s, with inland highs primarily in the 80s. Overnight lows are cooler as well.

As Tropical Storm Eugene continues to move northwest from Baja, increased humidity and cloud cover will impact the region over the next several days. The remnants of this tropical storm could bring showers and thunderstorm chances to the region Wednesday and Thursday.

The amount of rain expected is generally low for the area, but projected rainfall totals are subject to change as the storm approaches the Central Coast. The Southern half of the region, including Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties are more likely to get rain from Eugene. The main impact will be the mugginess due to the increased moisture.

By the weekend, temperatures will begin to warm up yet again and dry conditions will prevail.
