Oxnard gang members arrested after allegedly brandishing firearm, threatening woman
OXNARD, Calif. - Three known gang members were arrested by Oxnard police after a woman reported that a man brandished a handgun and threatened her and her children.
It happened Monday evening around 10 p.m. on the 400 block of Cuesta Del Mar. The woman said a man yelled gang slogans and threatened her before fleeing the area in a gray sedan occupied by several other men.
Oxnard Police Department's gang unit located a vehicle matching the description provided by the woman.
Police stopped the vehicle in the area of Berkshire Place and Ivan Drive. One of the occupants in the car fled on foot. He was captured and found to be in possession of a loaded revolver. He has been identified as Flavio Gasca, 27, of Oxnard.
Two other men, 19-year-old Oscar Eugenio and 28-year-old Jesse Chairez, remained in the vehicle and were contacted by officers.Â
All three suspects are documented members of an Oxnard-based gang, according to police.
Gasca and Eugenio were arrested and are awaiting charges for brandishing of a firearm and street terrorism. Gasca faces numerous additional felony weapons charges. Chairez was arrested for providing a false name and narcotic violations. Â
