Falcon 9 Launch of USSF-153 Mission Scheduled For Thursday Morning

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. (KEYT) – A Falcon 9 launch of the USSF-153 mission is currently scheduled to launch from Space Launch Complex 4E on Thursday, September 10, between 8:37 a.m. and 11:37 a.m. Pacific Time.

A back-up launch window has been designated for the following day starting at 8:23 a.m. Pacific Time.

The payload for this U.S. Space Force launch appears to be classified though Your News Channel has made a request for more information.

A live webcast of the launch will begin about ten minuties before liftoff. You can tune in to watch here or on SpaceX's X/Twitter account.

Following first-stage separation, the booster assigned to this mission will return to Earth to land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship awaiting in the Pacific Ocean.

There is the potential for one or more sonic booms to be heard across the local region during the launch process, but how far the sound travels will depend on weather and other conditions at launch time.

This will be the 27th flight for the Falcon 9 on this mission. The same booster previously launched the following missions:Crew-7, CRS-29, PACE, Transporter-10, EarthCARE, NROL-186, Transporter-13, TRACERS, NROL-48, COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation FM3, and 16 prior Starlink launches.
