Strong winds Thursday, toasty Easter weekend

We start the morning with minimal fog along major highways but blustery winds. Use caution when driving a high profile vehicle, and be aware of debris blowing into roadways. Our next cold front brings strong winds and some mid to high level clouds this evening. Expect temperatures to hold in the 60s and low 70s. Winds are up to advisory level from now through 11pm. The Gaviota corridor and high terrain areas will see gusts near 50mph. Beaches stay breezy around 20mph, bring anything of value inside today.

Strong winds hold through daybreak Friday morning before dying off. A few hours of clouds appear in the morning and give way to a bright afternoon. Temperatures are boosted 5-10 degrees from days prior as a strong offshore wind pattern is established. These winds and clear skies bring highs into the 70s and it'll be the perfect way to kickstart a holiday weekend. Head out and enjoy.

Get ready for a warm Easter weekend! A ridge of high pressure brings the heat starting Friday and peak heating Saturday and Sunday. Expect highs close to 80s at the beaches and even warmer inland. Santa Ana winds begin in Ventura and wind advisories likely to go into effect. Some fog may start the morning before a rapid clearing trend. We hold above average and mostly sunny through the first half of next week.
