Hot Friday, weekend heatwave

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Hot temperatures continue Friday with heat alerts in place.

A wind advisory is in effect Thursday evening for the Gaviota coast.

South County will cool minimally over the weekend.

Temperatures will increase north of Pt Conception over the weekend as onshore flow decreases.

Heat alerts are set through Monday night though updates may occur.

There will be minimal relief next week as heat is likely to persist through the end of July.
