SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Temperatures get hotter Thursday with mostly clear skies except for a weak marine morning marine layer.

All local heat alerts have been extended to 8pm Monday which covers nearly the entire region except for areas near Lompoc, Santa Maria, and southwest San Luis Obispo County.

Heat will impact the region through the weekend with most areas to stay in the 80s.

Some slight cooling should arrive early next week back into the upper 70s.
