Thursday evening forecast May 28th
Afternoon temperatures will be well above normal over inland regions for our Thursday. Most coastal locations will be cooler due to areas of low clouds and fog. Temperatures will begin to cool tomorrow and will be near normal by Sunday. The Central Coast has a slight chance of showers Friday night and Saturday.
Low clouds persisted at many of the beaches, but otherwise sunny skies prevailed across the forecast area. Temperatures are quite hot away from the coast today with highs about 6 to 16 degrees above normal. A Heat Advisory in effect for the San Luis Obispo interior valleys until 7 PM.
The upper level ridge is forecast to push off to the east tonight and Friday which will allow the upper level low to move quickly northeast this will give us more clouds and cooler conditions for Friday. We also have a chance of light showers Friday night through Saturday mainly for areas north of Point Conception, amounts are expected to be between trace amounts to 0.15”. South of Point Conception just has a very small chance of any precipitation
Marine layer clouds will continue through the weekend with comfortable and cooler conditions. Highs along the coast will be in the mid 60s to mid 70s, and in the valleys back into the 80s.
For now expecting seasonable temperatures with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions for the beginning of the next work week.
