Tuesday morning forecast June 9th

Above average temperatures and sunny skies will dominate the Central and South Coast on Tuesday. A ridge of high pressure will continue to build with warm temperatures through Thursday. A slight onshore flow will arrive on Friday and into the weekend with cooler temperatures, low level clouds and areas of patchy fog.

Peak heat will be likely on Tuesday for the coasts and valleys with daytime highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. This will prompt a Heat Advisory in effect for Ventura County from 11 AM until 7 PM. Wind gusts will be much lighter but relative humidity could be lowered with muggy conditions possible.

As the ridge of high pressure shifts slightly east on Wednesday some coastal cooling will arrive with temperatures dipping 4 to 8 degrees. The weather pattern will shift on Friday and into the weekend, favoring an onshore flow with cooler temperatures, more cloud cover and areas of patchy fog.
