Oxnard DUI checkpoint results in six arrests and 19 citations

OXNARD, Calif. – The Oxnard Police Department and California Highway Patrol - Ventura Office conducted a DUI checkpoint at Victoria Avenue and Fifth Street resulting in six arrests for impaired driving and 19 citations.

The checkpoint was operated from 7 p.m. Saturday evening to 2 a.m. Sunday morning and was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
