Tracking a cooler week

Happy Monday! We begin the morning with cooler temperatures and a much needed cooling trend from weeks prior. Expect marine clouds north of Gaviota and a slow clearing trend. Mostly sunny skies prevail this afternoon with highs into the 70s and 80s at the beaches and 90s inland. A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect through the afternoon for Ventura due to bubbling storms off Mexicos coastline.

Tuesday will be warm and breezy. Many areas hold a few degrees above average but still pleasant for most microclimates. This will be a great beach day for most! Expect a rapid clearing trend and a light sea breeze for most. Beach Hazards are gone and minimal marine impacts are expected. Over night lows cool additionally.

Wednesday will be the last day in the 80s before a more notable cooling trend arrives. We return to normals by Thursday and have picture perfect weather by Friday. Heading into Labor Day weekend there are good chances for rain. All eyes will be on the tropics and where the path of tropical storms will dictate whether rain is likely or not.
