Friday is the deadline to submit your map for Santa Barbara County’s new supervisor district lines

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Who will each Santa Barbara County supervisor represent? That’s the question an independent commission is working to determine.

Every ten years after the census, parts of the map get redrawn. The goal is to keep populations equal for fair representation among elected officials.

The independent commission is looking for Santa Barbara County residents’ opinions.

Friday, November 12 at noon is the deadline to submit a map of how one would like to see the supervisor districts drawn.

So far, there are 63 different versions of what the lines could look like on the redraw Santa Barbara County map.
