Downtown SLO Farmers Market returns to pre-pandemic operations
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The famous Downtown SLO Farmers' Market is getting ready to expand again now that California's economy is fully open.
Beginning Thursday, you'll find dozens of local produce vendors, crafts and home goods and all of the food and entertainment options that used to be staples at the weekly farmers' market.
The farmers' market was shut down for several months during the pandemic. When it reopened in May, it was originally just for people to buy essential produce items.
Now people can visit the popular market, which has expanded into five city blocks. Masks and physical distancing is not required, organizers said.
Farmers' takes place every Thursday from 6-9 p.m. on Higuera Street in Downtown San Luis Obispo.
