Roosevelt Elementary School in Santa Barbara distributes school supplies
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara Unified School District schools will start fall classes remotely Tuesday.
Roosevelt Elementary School handed out school supplies to get students ready. It was also a way to get families excited for the new school year.
"Just because we're starting the year learning at home or in a childcare setting, doesn't mean students don't need supplies to get started. So even though we won't be in our building tomorrow, we're still going to be learning and ready to go," Roosevelt Elementary Principal Valerie Galindo said.
Roosevelt school will continue to distribute supplies even after the school year starts.
The principal said the school plans on having supply pickups every couple of weeks during distance learning.
