Carpinteria 6-year-old writes cute song about sheltering in place

CARPINTERIA, Calif. - Some kids who are stuck at home during the stay at home order are passing time by watching videos or playing video games. But Jack Keet, 6, decided to get creative instead and write songs.

One song is called, Shelter in Place, and it gets right to the point like only a six-year-old can. We are sure he's speaking for a lot of kids out there who are stuck at home all day with their parents.

Verse I

I don't like my mommy when she tells me what to do.
And I don't like my daddy when he tells me what to do.
When I am bad they send me to my room,
and sometimes, I don't know what to do.

I've been cooped up in this house for what seems like years,
the government has ordered us to shelter in place.
Shelter In place
Shelter In place.

Verse II

I just want to go outside and play with my friends.
I can't wait until this pandemic ends.
We are ready to celebrate
but until that time comes we will all shelter in place,
shelter in place.

Jack is the son of Chris and Jenny Keet who own Surf Happens in Carpinteria. They are spreading positivity by sharing their son's song and the hashtag #stokedinshelter.
