Tracking a warm Wednesday, strong Santa Ana winds Thursday

A warm and pleasant Wednesday is on tap. Many areas will see rising temperatures and some light breezy winds. Head out to the beaches or to the pool! Take advantage of the nice weather before another dramatic weather pattern shift begins tomorrow.

All eyes will be on Thursday and Friday as strong Santa Ana winds develop. Fire Weather Watches and Red Flag Warnings are in place for most of our viewing area. Humidity will drop to singular digits for some microclimates. Fire fuels are dry and primed to help with explosive fire growth. Use caution and practice fire safety. Heat and Wind Advisories are in place as highs rise into the 80s and 90s and wind gusts peak into the 50mph range.

We hold warmer than average through the weekend before another weather pattern shift begins next week. Another cut off low pressure system will swing into the area bringing rain chances by Tuesday and another significant drop in temperatures.
