Dinosaurs at Dark to Appear at Elings Park Friday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) - Some of the largest dinosaur images ever to appear in Santa Barbara will be on a big screen Friday night.

The classic 1993 academy award winner, Jurassic Park, will be shown on a 53-foot screen that will be specially set up at Elings Park.

This event is an outdoor component to the upcoming Wild & Free Film Festival at the Camino Real Cinemas November 6-8.

Gareth Kelly, the Wild & Free Film Festival Executive Director, says, "last year we did the event with the Goonies and I thought let's do Jurassic Park on the biggest screen we can get. Those dinosaurs are going to look huge."

He says there are only three screens like this in California.

He says there will also be ten non-profits on site. "They come and have a table and spread their message around the community and there will be a cool dinosaur themed scavenger hunt amongst that village," said Kelly.

Friday's Jurassic Park movie under the stars will be on the large soccer field.

There will be a live band before the movie and food and beverages on site.
