Highway 154 reopens after truck overturns on roadway

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Highway 154 closed Tuesday morning following a crash involving an overturned truck.

The crash happened at 9:12 a.m. at the Windy Gap are of the winding roadway.

Santa Barbara County Fire reported the male driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

A hard closure of the highway was in place at Highway 192 on the Santa Barbara side and at the Highway 246 roundabout in Santa Ynez.

Caltrans urged drivers to use Highway 101 as alternate route.

The roadway reopened to all traffic around 2:40 p.m. It was closed for more than five hours.
