Tracking coastal flooding concerns Monday

Marine clouds fill the skies Monday morning and will be slow to clear. Onshore flow strengthens causing temperatures to drop from the weekend. Expect most areas to remain near average. Highs will rise into the 60s, 70s and 80s. A Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued for Santa Barbara through the Ventura County region. High tides and minor coastal flooding is likely. Avoid the beaches Monday through Wednesday.

More clouds and fog appear Tuesday morning. Another slow clearing pattern is expected. The coastal flood advisory holds, so stay away from the water and use cautions when kayaking.

Overcast skies and marine clouds appear Wednesday and Thursday. This is a low pressure system that will bring breezy winds and cause temperatures to drop. Some areas sit between a 5-10% chance of showers. Winds may be up to advisory levels. All rain amounts will be light and this low pressure system moves out by Friday. Skies clear into the weekend and a small warming trend occurs.
