SANTA BARBRA COUNTY, Calif - Heat continues Thursday with high 70s and 80s near the coast, 90s to over 100 inland.

Local inland heat advisories have been extended to next Tuesday.

An extreme heat watch has been issued for nearly the entire region for next week Tuesday through Thursday with 85-100 degrees possible in more areas during a stronger round of heat and humidity.

Another wind advisory is in effect for the Gaviota coast.

Skies will remain mostly clear through this Friday.

We'll have slight cooling and more clouds with a light chance for showers over the weekend before the next heatwave.
