Sunday Evening Forecast Dec 11th

More rain is possible and likely as the center of the latest storm system barrels in to Northern California. The bulk of the heaviest rain has passed to our east, but more pop up showers with even some thunder could still occur through very early Monday. Strong winds should slowly abate through Sunday night and advisories will drop. Mountain snow levels could dip to below 4000 feet and a Winter storm Warning is in effect through at least Monday afternoon for portions of Santa Barbara & Ventura Counties. Morning lows will be chilly and afternoon highs will be mostly in the mid to upper 50's!

Looking ahead, Monday should see the showers taper off quickly with breezy and chilly conditions lingering. More sunshine is expected by Tuesday, but not much warmth, so keep the jackets handy. Another storm system will approach the region from north to south late in the work week. For now, best chances for more rain will be in northern areas above Point Conception. Rain chances will linger in to next weekend and our southern region will have its best chance for rain by Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures next week will remain well below normal for all areas.
