Friday evening forecast – Aug. 28th

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A quiet and pleasant start to the weekend tonight, with relatively calm winds expected and comfortable temperatures. Lows tonight will fall to the mid-50s in most areas, with low-60s along the South Coast. We'll see a modest cool-down through the start of our weekend.

On Saturday we're expecting a typical pattern with coastal fog developing overnight. Marine layer could linger into the afternoon for some beaches, though inland areas should gradually clear by the late morning. Highs will be mild and beautiful, with 70s expected along the coast, low-80s in the Santa Ynez Valley and low-90s in SLO County interior valleys.

On Sunday we'll see similar temperatures and pleasant conditions. Starting Monday, temperatures will begin to warm through next week. By next weekend, we could see hot conditions along the coast and in the valleys.
