Monday evening forecast May 11th

The marine layer greeted the Central and South Coast on Monday with low clouds and fog. While the inland areas enjoyed a tad more sunshine as conditions gradually cleared. The grey pattern will dominate the start of the week as a disturbance moves from northern California to the south. This will bring more cloud coverage and a chance of rain showers.

Although we only expect small amounts of rain the dry weather pattern could finally break. The best possibility of any accumulation could be expected for San Luis Obispo County from Monday night into Tuesday morning. This weak system will bring up to a tenth of inch possible, otherwise some drizzle prompted from the marine layer. Daytime highs along the coasts and interior valleys in 60s to low 70s.

The weather pattern will shift mid-week as winds get stronger on Tuesday night. This will allow for good clearing across the Central and South Coasts prompting more sunshine and warmer temperatures on Wednesday. Daytime highs along the coasts and valleys will warm in the 70s to low 80s. Strong sundowner winds could be a repeated pattern across Southern Santa Barbara County through the weekend with gusty south to southwest winds.
