Tuesday evening forecast – Jan. 7th

Tuesday was a beautiful day with partly cloudy skies and temperature once again above average but cooler than Monday in the upper 60s to upper 70s in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.

Wednesday temperatures will continue to cool with conditions getting closer to average for Wednesday. Along with the cool down winds will pick up once again for mid-week with breezy northern winds.  The winds will help clear out the clouds giving us more sunshine.

Looking ahead, a system will arrive for Thursday with a slight chance for showers.  Thursday we will have mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperature.  The chance of showers is greater in San Luis Obispo County where amounts may reach 0.10". Santa Barbara County for now looks like it will just pick up a couple hundredths of an inch if any.  Winds will stay gusty on Thursday.  Low snow levels are also possible along the grapevine.

As the system exits, sunny skies will return on Friday and for now are expected to stay through the weekend.  Temperatures during this time will be cool primarily in the low 60s.
