Wednesday evening forecast
Santa Barbara, Calif. - Light rain showers fell over the California Central Coast and South Coast this morning, but the main body of rain with our incoming storm will move overhead tonight. We can expect valley rain, mountain snow, gusty wind, and high surf, with 1 to 2 inches of rain possible through Thursday. Lows will range from the upper 30s to the upper 40s and lower 50s.
We can expect lingering morning rain showers, mountain snow, gusty wind and below-average temperatures on Thursday as our latest storm exits California. We'll have a lot more sunshine Friday through Saturday afternoon before another trough brings more clouds. We can expect increasing clouds through Monday, but dry weather is expected, and fewer clouds afterward.
Overnight lows will remain seasonably cool to chilly for all areas through the first day of 2020 next Wednesday. Valleys: lows in the 30s. Coasts: lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s. Daytime highs remain a few degrees below average, but will gradually warm to seasonable by next Wednesday. Highs will range from the lower and mid 50s to the lower and mid 60s for all areas.
