Falcon 9 Launch of USSF-336 Mission Scheduled from VSFB Saturday Afternoon

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. (KEYT) – A Falcon 9 launch of the USSF-336 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, between 2:52 p.m. and 6:52 p.m. Pacific Time.

A backup launch time has been designated for the following day, Sunday, Aug. 16, at 2:38 p.m. Pacific Time shared SpaceX.

The exact payload of Saturday's launch and the final destination for on-board components remains classified confirmed Vandenberg Space Force Base.

A live webcast of the launch will begin about ten minutes before liftoff. You can tune in to watch here or on SpaceX's X/Twitter account.

Following first-stage separation, the booster assigned to this mission will return to Earth to land on the Of Course I Still Love You drone ship awaiting in the Pacific Ocean.

There is the potential for one or more sonic booms to be heard across the region, but how far the sound travels will depend on weather and other conditions at launch time.

This will be the 18th flight for the first-stage booster on this mission. The same Falcon 9 previously launched the following missions: NROL-126, Transporter-12, SPHEREx, NROL-57, and 13 Starlink missions.
