GOLETA, Calif. - The wait is over!

San Marcos won a wild 10-7 ten inning game at Dos Pueblos to win the Channel League for the first time since 1996.

Nicky Fell ripped a 2-run bases-loaded double in the top of the tenth to snap a 7-7 tie and Aiden Mandel added another rbi as the Royals finally put away a resilient DP Chargers team.

San Marcos jumped out to a 2-0 lead two batters into the game as UCSB-commit Henry Manfredonia blasted a 2-run home run to left center against Oregon State commit Ryan Speshyock.

DP was down 3-0 but turned the game around with a five-run third inning.

Speshyock broke a 3-3 tie with a 2-run single to left.

But San Marcos answered with a 4-run fifth only to see DP tie the game at 7 with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Fell started for the Royals on the mound and Mandel pitched the final four innings of solid relief for the league champs.
