Cal Poly falters in second half and lose to Santa Clara
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Cal Poly Mustangs got it half-right against Santa Clara leading the undefeated Broncos 42-33 at halftime.
But the Mustangs were outscored 28-11 to begin the second half and lost at home to Santa Clara 76-69.
Sophomore Alimamy Koroma and freshman Kobe Sanders each scored 16 points for the Mustangs while freshman Camren Pierce added 15 for Cal Poly who slipped to 1-2 on the season.
Santa Clara improved to 5-0.
Cal Poly hosts San Jose State on Sunday, December 13 at 1pm.
